Current News

The EBPF have just announced at the recent AGM that they are not currently supporting the EBA’s coordination of international competitions. The EBPF believe that the England players well-being and safety is not appropriately considered at these tournaments and will no longer allow players to be put at risk. For the foreseeable future, England will not be attending any tournaments coordinated and managed by the EBA. The direct result of this decision means that the England trials planned for May 2026 will be delayed until later this year, and potentially beyond. While this will be a disappointment for those that have qualified, the EBPF has confirmed that all players that have qualified will be invited to attend trials once they’re rescheduled. A formal announcement will be issued by the EBPF shortly, but I know there are a number of players in our squad that are making plans to attend trials in May, and I wanted to ensure no one is impacted financially through this decision.
